A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Tom Andersen; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, during his many years of exemplary law practice, Tom Andersen has2
demonstrated his expertise in legal matters such as jury trials, corporate law, estate planning,3
commercial lending, and banking regulation; and4
WHEREAS, he further holds extensive experience in real estate acquisition, investment, and5
development, including leading the legal work for the Atlanta Beltline's purchase from6
Norfolk Southern Railway and its sale to the City of Atlanta as well as playing a key role in7
assembling the necessary interests for constructing a 5.1 mile-long conveyor belt for8
Hartsfield Jackson International Airport's runway construction; and9
WHEREAS, Tom Andersen has been recognized as a Georgia Super Lawyer for more than10
a decade and was named Real Estate Lawyer of the Year for Greater and Metro Atlanta by11
The Best Lawyers in America in 2016 and 2020; and12
WHEREAS, deeply involved in Gwinnett County's community, he has held leadership13
positions in various civic and charitable organizations, including serving as chairman of the14
Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce in 2019; and15

WHEREAS, this distinguished gentleman has given inspiration to many through his high
16
ideals, morals, and deep concern for his fellow citizens, and he possesses the vast wisdom17
which only comes through experience and the strength of character which is achieved18
through overcoming the many challenges of life; and19
WHEREAS, Tom Andersen is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable20
reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and21
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this22
remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.23
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that24
the members of this body recognize and commend Tom Andersen for his many wonderful25
career accomplishments and extend the most sincere best wishes for continued health and26
happiness.27
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized28
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Tom29
Andersen.30
