A RESOLUTION
Recognizing February 21, 2023, as Brunswick-Golden Isles Day at the Capitol; and for other

purposes.2
WHEREAS, the City of Brunswick and the Golden Isles serve as an epicenter of tourism for3
the State of Georgia; and4
WHEREAS, the Golden Isles is crucial for both economic and infrastructure development5
throughout the state for its natural resources and proximity to the port; and6
WHEREAS, the Golden Isles has an abundance of natural beauty with accesses to its7
beaches, oceans, and other wildlife; and8
WHEREAS, the Brunswick-Golden Isles Chamber of Commerce has served as the “Voice9
of Business” in the community since its inception in 1954.10
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that11
the members of this body recognize February 21, 2023, as Brunswick-Golden Isles Day at12

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized

and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to the15
