25 LC 44 3150/AP House Bill 760 (AS PASSED HOUSE AND SENATE) By: Representatives Sainz of the 180 th , Townsend of the 179 th , and DeLoach of the 167 th A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT To amend an Act creating a board of commissioners of Glynn County, approved 1 February 11, 1937 (Ga. L. 1937, p. 1336), as amended, particularly by an Act approved2 April 13, 2001 (Ga. L. 2001, p. 3914), so as to change the annual salary of the chairperson3 and members of the board; to provide for withholding of compensation for certain meeting4 absences; to provide for related matters; to provide an effective date; to repeal conflicting5 laws; and for other purposes.6 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:7 SECTION 1.8 An Act creating a board of commissioners of Glynn County, approved February 11, 19379 (Ga. L. 1937, p. 1336), as amended, particularly by an Act approved April 13, 2001 (Ga. L.10 2001, p. 3914), is amended by striking the first unnumbered paragraph of Section 6 and11 inserting in its place the following:12 "The chairperson shall receive an annual salary of $28,000.00, payable in monthly13 installments, and an expense allowance of $600.00 per month. The vice chairperson shall14 receive an annual salary of $27,000.00, payable in monthly installments, and an expense15 allowance of $600.00 per month. Each other member of the board shall receive an annual16 H. B. 760 - 1 - 25 LC 44 3150/AP salary of $26,000.00, payable in monthly installments, and an expense allowance of 17 $550.00 per month. However, that compensation shall not be paid to the chairperson, vice18 chairperson, or other member of the board for any month in which the chairperson, vice19 chairperson, or other member of the board failed to attend at least one regularly scheduled20 meeting of the board unless the board by majority vote determines that the absence should21 be excused for illness or other good cause."22 SECTION 2.23 This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2025.24 SECTION 3.25 All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.26 H.
