A RESOLUTION
Commending the George Walton & James Oglethorpe Chapters of the Daughters of the

American Revolution's 2024-2025 Good Citizens; and for other purposes.2
WHEREAS, the Daughters of the American Revolution is a nonprofit, nonpolitical volunteer3
women's service organization dedicated to the promotion of historic preservation, education,4
and patriotism in communities across the nation; and5
WHEREAS, the Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizens Award and6
Scholarship Contest was created in 1934 to recognize and reward individuals who possess7
the qualities of dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism in their homes, schools, and8
communities; and9
WHEREAS, the George Walton & James Oglethorpe Chapters of the Daughters of the10
American Revolution have honored the following students as their 2024-2025 Good Citizens:11
John-Noah McGowan Parker, Carver High School; Moatapari Agbere, Chattahoochee12
County High School; Ara Kang, Columbus High School; Carley Mac Helms, Hardaway High13
School; Walker Johnson, Marion County High School; Alexandra Greenfield, Northside14
High School; Mackenna Elizabeth Lewis, Rainey-McCullers School of the Arts; and15
Mackenzie Gabrielle Lewis, Shaw High School; and16

WHEREAS, the State of Georgia looks with great anticipation toward the future of these
17
bright and promising young Georgians.18
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that19
the members of this body heartily commend the George Walton & James Oglethorpe20
Chapters of the Daughters of the American Revolution's 2024-2025 Good Citizens and21
express their most sincere best wishes for continued success.22
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized23
and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to the24
public and the press.25
