25 LC 112 2885 House Resolution 195 By: Representatives Santos of the 117 th , Lewis-Ward of the 115 th , Crowe of the 118 th , Flournoy of the 74 th , Holly of the 116 th , and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending the Henry County Office of the Solicitor-General; and for 1 other purposes.2 WHEREAS, the Henry County Office of the Solicitor-General is responsible for prosecuting3 misdemeanor crimes on behalf of the State of Georgia and the citizens of Henry County; and4 WHEREAS, the Victim Services Division of the Henry County Office of the5 Solicitor-General is designed to assist crime victims throughout the various stages of the6 judicial process; and7 WHEREAS, each case involving a victim is assigned to a victim advocate within the Henry8 County Office of the Solicitor-General who ensures that victims are informed of their rights,9 provided with available resources, and given additional assistance as needed; and10 WHEREAS, in 2024, the Victim Services Division of the Henry County Office of the11 Solicitor-General provided assistance to approximately 975 victims affected by misdemeanor12 criminal cases; and13 H. R. 195 - 1 - 25 LC 112 2885 WHEREAS, February 5, 2025, marks Stand With Survivors Day at the state capitol, a day 14 dedicated to raising awareness and advocating for the rights and safety of domestic violence15 survivors; and16 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this remarkable office be appropriately17 honored during this special time.18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that19 the members of this body recognize and commend the Henry County Office of the20 Solicitor-General for its dedicated, effective, and efficient service on behalf of those in need21 as well as extend sincere best wishes for continued success.22 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized23 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the24 Henry County Office of the Solicitor-General.25 H.
