25 LC 129 0109 House Resolution 332 By: Representatives Horner of the 3 rd and Tarvin of the 2 nd A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending the Ringgold High School JROTC Tiger Guard drill team; and 1 for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, the Ringgold High School JROTC Tiger Guard drill team has established and3 maintained a proud tradition of excellence with equal emphases on character and academics;4 and5 WHEREAS, despite being the smallest team competing at the National Level, the Ringgold6 JROTC Tiger Guard has achieved remarkable success, winning over 50 All Army and7 National trophies as well as multiple region and state championships in the past eight years;8 and9 WHEREAS, the Ringgold JROTC Tiger Guard made history by forming the first all-female10 color guard to present colors at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, an accomplishment that garnered11 recognition in local and regional news; and12 WHEREAS, this all-star team is led by Cadet Drill Team Commander Parell, who has been13 a dedicated member of the Tiger Guard since the seventh grade and competed at the National14 H. R. 332 - 1 - 25 LC 129 0109 Level as early as eighth grade, where she was honored with the Commanding General's coin 15 by a two-star general from Fort Knox, Kentucky; and16 WHEREAS, Cadet Drill Team Commander Parell has won an impressive five region titles,17 six state titles, two All Army Runner-Up finishes, and five national titles, including her most18 recent national victory last year; and19 WHEREAS, as this magnificent team earned its well-deserved reputation for excellence by20 performing with courage and precision over months of training and competition, it is21 abundantly proper to call them champions.22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that23 the members of this body recognize and commend the Ringgold High School JROTC Tiger24 Guard drill team and extend best wishes for their continued success.25 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized26 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the27 Ringgold High School JROTC Tiger Guard drill team.28 H.
