A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Reverend Dr. David L. Stallion Sr. on the occasion of his

ninth pastoral anniversary; and for other purposes.2
WHEREAS, Reverend Dr. David L. Stallion Sr. has demonstrated his commitment to3
teaching the Gospel, witnessing Christ through word and deed, and addressing the physical,4
psychological, intellectual, and spiritual needs of others; and5
WHEREAS, Reverend Dr. Stallion was called by the Lord nine years ago to lead the6
congregation of Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church; and7
WHEREAS, his vision and direction have helped Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church grow in size8
and influence, uplifting the community like the light of Bethlehem and serving as a spiritual9
leader and place for fellowship; and10
WHEREAS, Reverend Dr. Stallion's ministry has encompassed preaching and teaching at11
numerous revivals, worship services, and Bible studies as well as community service through12
organizations such as the United Way of Chattahoochee Valley; and13

WHEREAS, whether the task is preparing a sermon, visiting the sick, counseling the
14
troubled, baptizing a new believer, or acting as a theologian, educator, administrator, or15
humanitarian, Reverend Dr. Stallion has shown the energy, devotion, and commitment truly16
reflective of divine guidance; and17
WHEREAS, the unmatched spiritual assistance offered by Reverend Dr. Stallion is a source18
of strength and direction for persons in all walks of life; and19
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this enduring example of God's message20
of peace and love be recognized and congratulated for his innumerable good works rendered21
on behalf of persons in need.22
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that23
the members of this body recognize and commend Reverend Dr. David L. Stallion Sr. on the24
wonderful occasion of his ninth pastoral anniversary and extend best wishes for many more25
years of successful fellowship and leadership.26
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized27
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to28
Reverend Dr. David L. Stallion Sr.29
