A RESOLUTION
Recognizing the members of the Georgia Black Republican Council; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Black History Month is a time to honor the rich heritage, resilience, and2
achievements of Black Americans who have shaped the United States through their3
unwavering faith, hard work, and commitment to freedom; and4
WHEREAS, Black Americans have played a pivotal role in advancing the principles of5
liberty, justice, and equal opportunity enshrined in our Constitution, from the abolitionist6
movement to the civil rights era and beyond; and7
WHEREAS, the contributions of Black entrepreneurs, inventors, scholars, and leaders have8
been instrumental in strengthening the economic, cultural, and moral fabric of our nation;9
and10
WHEREAS, Black Americans have overcome tremendous adversity through perseverance,11
faith, family values, and a strong belief in the American Dream; and12

WHEREAS, this month is an opportunity to recognize the importance of educational
13
empowerment, economic self-sufficiency, and civic engagement in ensuring the prosperity14
and advancement of all communities; and15
WHEREAS, the principles of limited government, free enterprise, and individual16
responsibility have long been championed by great Black leaders, from Booker T.17
Washington to Justice Clarence Thomas; and18
WHEREAS, members of the Georgia Black Republican Council, an auxiliary of the Georgia19
Republican Party, exemplify the aforementioned belief.20
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that21
the members of this body recognize the members of the Georgia Black Republican Council22
and extend best wishes for continued success.23
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized24
and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to the25
public and the press.26
