A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Linda J. Davidson upon her retirement; and for other

purposes.2
WHEREAS, Linda J. Davidson joined the Alzheimer's Association as the executive director3
of the Georgia Chapter in June 2017, and she has since demonstrated exceptional leadership4
in donor management and team development as well as served as a driving force behind the5
organization's growth; and6
WHEREAS, the Alzheimer's Association is the leading voluntary health organization in7
Alzheimer's care, support, and research as well as the voice for Alzheimer's disease8
advocacy, fighting for critical care initiatives at the state and federal level; and9
WHEREAS, Linda's expertise has proven invaluable in growing the reach and services of10
the Alzheimer's Association for the more than 150,000 Georgia residents living with11
Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia; and12
WHEREAS, prior to her position with the Alzheimer's Association, Linda diligently worked13
with United Way and Catholic Social Services as well as served as the senior director of14
Relay For Life for the American Cancer Association; and15

WHEREAS, Linda's significant organizational and leadership talents, remarkable patience
16
and diplomacy, keen sense of vision, and sensitivity to the needs of the citizens of this state17
have earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues and associates; and18
WHEREAS, she has served the Alzheimer's Association with honor and distinction, and her19
vision and unyielding commitment to operational excellence will be sorely missed upon the20
occasion of her retirement; and21
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this22
remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.23
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body24
recognize and commend Linda J. Davidson for her decades of exemplary service,25
congratulate her upon the grand occasion of her retirement, and extend the most sincere best26
wishes for continued health and happiness.27
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed28
to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Linda J. Davidson.29
