A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Bishop Pierce Moore Jr.; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Bishop Pierce Moore Jr. has demonstrated his commitment to teaching the2
Gospel, witnessing Christ through word and deed, and addressing the physical,3
psychological, and spiritual needs of others; and4
WHEREAS, Bishop Pierce Moore Jr. was called to serve at Savannah Deliverance Center5
of the Evangelistic Centers of Georgia Inc., where he has pastored for more than 16 years;6
and7
WHEREAS, Savannah Deliverance Center is the headquarters church for Deliverance8
Evangelistic Centers of Georgia Inc., which was founded in 1965; and9
WHEREAS, with the support of his wife, Minister Barbara N. Moore, First Lady and District10
Mother, this spiritual team has provided guidance and leadership for the worshipers of11
Savannah Deliverance Center, which has continued to grow and expand its outreach to12
worshipers across the coastal region; and13

WHEREAS, a religious mentor who is dedicated to the awareness and spiritual development

of all people, Bishop Moore is a highly respected spiritual leader and shining example to15
others to follow God's righteous path; and16
WHEREAS, this accomplished community servant has received many awards, citations, and17
commendations for his life's work, and it is abundantly fitting and proper that this enduring18
Messenger of God be appropriately honored on the occasion of his 16th Pastoral19
Anniversary.20
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body21
recognize and commend Pastor and Overseer Bishop Pierce Moore Jr. for his many good22
works to improve the spiritual growth of his church and the surrounding community.23
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed24
to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to Bishop Pierce25
Moore Jr. and the Savannah Deliverance Center family.26
