THE SENATE S.B. NO. 2694 THIRTY-FIRST LEGISLATURE, 2022 STATE OF HAWAII A BILL FOR AN ACT relating to state contracts. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII: THE SENATE S.B. NO. 2694 THIRTY-FIRST LEGISLATURE, 2022 STATE OF HAWAII THE SENATE S.B. NO. 2694 THIRTY-FIRST LEGISLATURE, 2022 STATE OF HAWAII A BILL FOR AN ACT relating to state contracts. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII: SECTION 1. Chapter 27, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows: "§27- Gender-neutral terminology; contracts. Each principal department of the State, as established in section 26-4, shall use gender-neutral terminology in the implementation of all state contracts." SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscored. SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. INTRODUCED BY: _____________________________ SECTION 1.
