A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the thirty-ninth representative district.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The director of finance is authorized to issue general obligation bonds in the sum of $ or so much thereof as may be necessary and the same sum or so much thereof as may be necessary is appropriated for fiscal year 2024-2025 for the purpose of capital improvement projects for the thirty-ninth representative district, as follows: 1. Campbell high school A. Plans, design, construction, and equipment for new locker rooms. Plans $ Design $ Construction $ Total funding $ 2. Ewa elementary school A. Plans, design, construction, equipment, and appurtenances for three portable classrooms to absorb the overflow of students of Hoopili. Plans $ Design $ Construction $ Total funding $ 3. Kapolei high school A. Design and construction, for the replacement of the athletic stadium lights. Design $ Construction $ Total funding $1,250,000 B. Plans, design, construction, equipment, and appurtenances for a cafeteria bathroom. Plans $ Design $ Construction $ Total funding $ The sums appropriated shall be expended by the department of education. SECTION 2. The appropriation made for the capital improvement projects authorized by this Act shall not lapse at the end of the fiscal year for which the appropriation is made; provided that all moneys from the appropriation that are unencumbered as of June 30, 2027, shall lapse as of that date.
