A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to school security.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 302A, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to part III, subpart C, to be appropriately designated and to read as follows: "§302A- School security personnel; training; presence at school facilities. The department shall: (1) Assign school security personnel at all department schools and facilities where students are present; (2) Determine the appropriate number of security personnel for each school; and (3) Develop and adopt hiring and training requirements for school security personnel." SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscored. SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. INTRODUCED BY: _____________________________
