A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to transportation.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Section 286-201, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by amending the definition of "motor carrier vehicle" to read as follows: ""Motor carrier vehicle" means any motor vehicle or vehicle, including integrally mounted equipment and specially constructed motorized equipment, used by a motor carrier to transport passengers or property on the public highways. "Motor carrier vehicle" does not include a chassis used to transport shipping containers." SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscored. SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
