BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII: THE SENATE S.B. NO. 1102 THIRTY-THIRD LEGISLATURE, 2025 S.D. 1 STATE OF HAWAII THE SENATE S.B. NO. 1102 THIRTY-THIRD LEGISLATURE, 2025 S.D. 1 STATE OF HAWAII A BILL FOR AN ACT RELATING TO THE AIRCRAFT RESCUE FIRE FIGHTING UNIT. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII: SECTION 1. Chapter 261, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows: "§261- State aircraft rescue fire fighting unit; chief; term limits. Each appointed chief of the aircraft rescue fire fighting unit of the airports division of the department of transportation shall serve a term of four years. No chief shall be appointed to more than three terms. The director of transportation shall appoint the chief from a list of three qualified candidates submitted for consideration." SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscored. SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2050. SECTION 1.
