S.F. 2077 Section 1. ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY U.S.S. IOWA 1 APPROPRIATIONS. 2 1. There is appropriated from the general fund of the state 3 to the economic development authority for the fiscal year 4 beginning July 1, 2023, and ending June 30, 2024, the following 5 amount, or so much thereof as is necessary, to be used for the 6 purposes designated: 7 For providing a grant to the SSN 797 commissioning committee 8 in support of the U.S.S. Iowa (SSN 797): 9 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $ 75,000 10 2. The economic development authority may use not more 11 than five percent of the moneys appropriated in this section 12 for purposes of administrative costs, marketing, technical 13 assistance, and other program support. 14 Sec. 2. REVERSION. For purposes of section 8.33 , 15 unencumbered or unobligated moneys from an appropriation made 16 in this Act shall not revert but shall remain available for 17 expenditure for the purpose designated until the close of the 18 fiscal year beginning July 1, 2024. 19 Sec. 3. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Act, being deemed of immediate 20 importance, takes effect upon enactment. 21 EXPLANATION 22 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 23 the explanations substance by the members of the general assembly. 24 This bill provides a general fund appropriation to the 25 economic development authority for purposes of providing a 26 grant to the SSN 797 commissioning committee in support of 27 commissioning the U.S.S.
