S.F. 5 Section 1. Section 135Q.2, subsection 4, Code 2023, is 1 amended to read as follows: 2 4. A health care employment agency shall submit a report to 3 the department on a quarterly basis for each health care entity 4 participating in Medicare or Medicaid with whom the agency 5 contracts that includes all of the following by provider type: 6 a. A a detailed list of the average amount charged to the 7 health care entity for each individual agency worker category. 8 b. A detailed list of the average amount paid by the agency 9 to agency workers in each individual agency worker category. 10 EXPLANATION 11 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 12 the explanations substance by the members of the general assembly. 13 This bill relates to the reporting requirements for a health 14 care employment agency. 15 Under current law, a health care employment agency is 16 required to submit a report to the department of inspections 17 and appeals on a quarterly basis for each health care entity 18 participating in Medicare or Medicaid with whom the agency 19 contracts that includes both a detailed list of the average 20 amount charged to the health care entity for each individual 21 agency worker category and a detailed list of the average 22 amount paid by the agency to agency workers in each individual 23 agency worker category. The bill eliminates the required 24 reporting of the detailed list of the average amount paid by 25 the agency to agency workers in each individual agency worker 26 category. 27 -1- LSB 1447XS (2) 90 pf/rh 1/ 1
