1 AN ACT concerning State government.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Department of Public Health Powers and
5 Duties Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is
6 amended by adding Section 2310-254 as follows:
7 (20 ILCS 2310/2310-254 new)
8 Sec. 2310-254. Grant program; sudden cardiac death. The
9 Department shall create a grant program that provides funds to
10 organizations that test student athletes for being at risk of
11 sudden cardiac death, including, but not limited to,
12 hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
