1 AN ACT concerning local government.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Township Code is amended by adding Section
5 85-14 as follows:
6 (60 ILCS 1/85-14 new)
7 Sec. 85-14. Nondiscriminatory use of township funds. A
8 township or township official may not prohibit an organization
9 from receiving township funds based upon the actual or
10 perceived citizenship or immigration status of the person who
11 would receive those funds from the organization.
12 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
13 becoming law.
