SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Makes appropriations for the ordinary and contingent
expenses of the State Universities Retirement System for the
fiscal year beginning July 1, 2023, as follows:
General Funds $1,928,183,703
Other State Funds $ 215,000,000
Total $2,143,183,703

AN ACT concerning appropriations. 1
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented 2
in the General Assembly: 3
ARTICLE 1 4
Section 5. The sum of $1,9 18,335,000, or so much thereof 5
as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue 6
Fund to the Board of Trustees of the State Universities 7
Retirement System for the State’s contribution, as provided by 8
law. 9
Section 10. The sum of $215,000,000, or so much thereof as 10
may be necessary, is appropriated from the State Pensions Fund 11
to the Board of Trustees of the Stat e Universities Retirement 12
System pursuant to the provisions of Section 8.12 of the State 13
Finance Act. 14
Section 15. The sum of $ 9,848,703, or so much thereof as 15
may be necessary, is appropriated from the Education Assistance 16
Fund to the State Universiti es Retirement System for deposit 17
into the Community College Health Insurance Security Fund for 18
the State’s contributions, as required by law. 19

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 1
2023. 2
