1 AN ACT concerning regulation.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Massage Licensing Act is amended by
5 changing Section 67 as follows:
6 (225 ILCS 57/67)
7 (Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2027)
8 Sec. 67. Continuing education. The Department shall adopt
9 rules for continuing education for persons licensed under this
10 Act that require a completion of 24 hours of approved
11 continuing education per license renewal period. The
12 Department shall establish by rule a means for the
13 verification of completion of the continuing education
14 required by this Section. This verification may be
15 accomplished through audits of records maintained by the
16 licensee, by requiring the filing of continuing education
17 certificates with the Department, or by other means
18 established by the Department. For the initial renewal of the
19 license which requires continuing education, as prescribed by
20 rule, one hour of the continuing education shall include
21 domestic violence and sexual assault awareness education as
22 prescribed by rule of the Department. For every subsequent
23 renewal of a license, one hour of the continuing education may
