1 AN ACT concerning public aid.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by
5 adding Section 5-5a.1 as follows:
6 (305 ILCS 5/5-5a.1 new)
7 Sec. 5-5a.1. Telehealth services for persons with
8 intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Department
9 shall file an amendment to the Home and Community-Based
10 Services Waiver Program for Adults with Developmental
11 Disabilities authorized under Section 1915(c) of the Social
12 Security Act to incorporate telehealth services administered
13 by a provider of telehealth services that demonstrates
14 knowledge and experience in providing medical and emergency
15 services for persons with intellectual and developmental
16 disabilities. The Department shall pay administrative fees
17 associated with implementing telehealth services for all
18 persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities who
19 are receiving services under the Home and Community-Based
20 Services Waiver Program for Adults with Developmental
21 Disabilities.
22 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1,
