SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Appropriates $1,000,000 from the General Revenue Fund to
the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority for grants
to assist the Court Appointed Special Advocates of Cook County
in its efforts to advocate for successful older youth in care
emancipation from the Department of Children and Family
Services. Effective July 1, 2023.

AN ACT concerning appropriations. 1
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented 2
in the General Assembly: 3
Section 5. The sum of $1,000,000, or so much of that amount 4
as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue 5
Fund to Illinois Criminal Justice Inf ormation Authority for 6
grants to assist the Court Appointed Special Advocates of Cook 7
County in its efforts to advocate for successful older youth 8
in care emancipations from the Department of Children and 9
Family Services. 10
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 11
2023. 12
