SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Appropriates $175,000,000 from the General Revenue Fund to
the State Board of Education for a grant to the Chicago Board
of Education to construct a new school facility for Grissom
Elementary, located at 12810 S. Escanaba Ave., Chicago, IL,
with a lunchroom, gymnasium, theater, and swimming pool.
Effective July 1, 2024.

AN ACT concerning appropriations. 1
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented 2
in the General Assembly: 3
Section 5. The sum of $175,000,000, or so much thereof as 4
may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund 5
to the State Board of Education for a grant to the Chicago 6
Board of Education to construct a new school facility for 7
Grissom Elementary, located at 12810 S. Escanaba Ave., Chicago, 8
IL, with a lunchroom, gym nasium, theater, and swimming pool. 9
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 10
2024. 11
