Provides that the petitioner does not have to disclose any address that may subject the petitioner or any member of the petitioner's family or household to abuse. Provides that the petitioner may (rather than shall) designate an alternative address at which the respondent may serve notice of any motions. Provides that if the petitioner fails to provide an address for service on the petitioner, the court may designate an address that considers the safety of the petitioner or any member of the petitioner's family or household. 1  AN ACT concerning civil law.
2  Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3  represented in the General Assembly:
4  Section 5. The Stalking No Contact Order Act is amended by
5  changing Section 25 as follows:
6  (740 ILCS 21/25)
7  Sec. 25. Pleading; non-disclosure of address.
8  (a) A petition for a stalking no contact order shall be in
9  writing and verified or accompanied by affidavit and shall
10  allege that the petitioner has been the victim of stalking by
11  the respondent.
12  (b) The petitioner does not have to disclose any address
13  that may subject the petitioner or any member of the
14  petitioner's family or household to abuse. The If the petition
15  states that disclosure of the petitioner's address would risk
16  abuse of the petitioner or any member of the petitioner's
17  family or household, that address may be omitted from all
18  documents filed with the court. If the petitioner has not
19  disclosed an address under this subsection, the petitioner may
20  shall designate an alternative address at which the respondent
21  may serve notice of any motions. If the petitioner fails to
22  provide an address for service on the petitioner, the court
23  may designate an address that considers the safety of the
