1 AN ACT concerning local government.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Regional Transportation Authority Act is
5 amended by adding Section 3B.09d as follows:
6 (70 ILCS 3615/3B.09d new)
7 Sec. 3B.09d. Opioid antagonist requirement. All Commuter
8 Rail Board trains shall carry naloxone or another opioid
9 antagonist while in operation in case of an emergency. The
10 opioid antagonist shall be stored in easily accessible spaces
11 throughout the train cars. The opioid antagonist may only be
12 administered by a train conductor or other individual trained
13 in the use and administration of opioid antagonists. The
14 Commuter Rail Board shall adopt rules to implement this
15 Section.
16 Section 10. The Good Samaritan Act is amended by adding
17 Section 37 as follows:
