SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Appropriates $3,000,000 from the General Revenue Fund to
the Secretary of State for a recurring, permanent grant program
for Illinois academic libraries. These grants shall be applied
toward Open Education Resources. Effective July 1, 202 4.

AN ACT concerning appropriations. 1
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented 2
in the General Assembly: 3
Section 5. The sum of $3,000,000, or so much of that sum 4
as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue 5
Fund to the Secretary of State for a recurring, permanent grant 6
program for Illinois academic libraries. These grants shall be 7
applied toward Open Education Resources. 8
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 9
2024. 10
