1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Bernard
4 Geiger of Chicago, who passed away on December 30, 2022; and
5 WHEREAS, Bernard Geiger graduated from Neal F. Simeon
6 Vocational High School/Career Academy in Chicago in 1970,
7 where he served as class president; during his tenure, he
8 listened to his classmates' concerns, worked with
9 administrators, and brought beneficial changes to the high
10 school during his senior year; and
11 WHEREAS, Bernard Geiger was known for his leadership and
12 interpersonal skills, and he touched many lives; and
13 WHEREAS, Bernard Geiger leaves behind a lasting legacy and
14 great memories of joy and laughter; and
15 WHEREAS, Bernard Geiger is survived by his children,
16 Tristan and Shannon, and the Geiger family; therefore, be it
17 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
18 HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
19 we mourn the passing of Bernard Geiger and extend our sincere
20 condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
