Possession of hypodermic syringes and needles. 8 (a) Except as provided in subsection (b), no person, not 9 being a physician, dentist, chiropodist or veterinarian 10 licensed under the the laws of this State or of the state where 11 he resides, or a registered professional nurse, or a 12 registered embalmer, manufacturer or dealer in embalming 13 supplies, wholesale druggist, manufacturing pharmacist, 14 registered pharmacist, manufacturer of surgical instruments, 15 industrial user, official of any government having possession 16 of the articles hereinafter mentioned by reason of his or her 17 official duties, nurse or a medical laboratory technician 18 acting under the direction of a physician or dentist, employee 19 of an incorporated hospital acting under the direction of its 20 superintendent or officer in immediate charge, or a carrier or 21 messenger engaged in the transportation of the articles, or 22 the holder of a permit issued under Section 5 of this Act, or a 23 farmer engaged in the use of the instruments on livestock, or a 103RD GENERAL ASSEMBLY State of Illinois 2023 and 2024 SB0437 Introduced 2/2/2023, by Sen.
