1 AN ACT concerning business.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The General Not For Profit Corporation Act of
5 1986 is amended by adding Section 114.15 as follows:
6 (805 ILCS 105/114.15 new)
7 Sec. 114.15. Demographic information of directors and
8 officers.
9 (a) Within 30 days after filing its annual AG990-IL
10 Charitable Organization Annual Report, a corporation that
11 reports grants of $1,000,000 or more to other charitable
12 organizations shall post on its publicly available website, if
13 one exists, the aggregated demographic information of the
14 corporation's directors and officers, including race,
15 ethnicity, gender, disability status, veteran status, sexual
16 orientation, and gender identity. The aggregated demographic
17 information shall be accessible on the corporation's publicly
18 available website for at least 3 years after it is posted.
19 (b) The Department of Human Rights shall work with
20 community partners to prepare and publish a standardized list
21 of demographic classifications to be used by corporations for
22 the reporting of the aggregated demographic information of a
23 corporation's directors and officers, including race,

1 ethnicity, gender, disability status, veteran status, sexual
2 orientation, and gender identity. The Department of Human
3 Rights shall periodically review and update the list.
4 (c) In collecting the aggregated demographic information
5 of its directors and officers, a corporation shall allow for
6 an individual to decline to disclose any or all personal
7 demographic information to the corporation.
