Standley of Springfield, 4 who passed away on March 3, 2023; and 5 WHEREAS, Marilyn Standley was born to Earl J. and Rhoda 6 Mae (Dowdell) McMillen in Taylorville on August 30, 1952; she 7 graduated from Jacksonville High School in 1970 and went on to 8 graduate from Hardin Business School; she later earned 9 continuing education credits in accounting at Lincoln Land 10 Community College; and 11 WHEREAS, Marilyn Standley worked as a bookkeeper in the 12 Jacksonville City Clerk's Office for many years; she later 13 worked as a claims processor, service representative, and 14 trainer for BlueCross BlueShield; she moved to Springfield to 15 work for the Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) in 2011, 16 where she worked until her passing; and 17 WHEREAS, Marilyn Standley was preceded in death by her 18 parents and her sister, Diana Ahrens; and 19 WHEREAS, Marilyn Standley is survived by her ex-husband, 20 Edward Standley; her sons, Michael (Joy) Standley and David 21 (April) Standley; her grandchildren, Emily, Andrew, Joshua, SR0121 LRB103 31324 ECR 58689 r SR0121- 2 -LRB103 31324 ECR 58689 r SR0121 - 2 - LRB103 31324 ECR 58689 r SR0121 - 2 - LRB103 31324 ECR 58689 r 1 Henry, and Ella Standley; and her sister, Marsha (Chuck) 2 Norris; therefore, be it 3 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL 4 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 5 Marilyn J. Standley and extend our sincere condolences to her 6 family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it 7 further 8 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 9 presented to the family of Marilyn Standley as an expression 10 of our deepest sympathy.
