The School Code is amended by adding Section 5 14-19 as follows: 6 (105 ILCS 5/14-19 new) 7 Sec. 14-19. Student aides to children with disabilities. 8 (a) In this Section: 9 "Student aide" means (i) a student who is enrolled in a 10 course for the specific purpose of providing support, help, or 11 assistance to an educator or paraprofessional or (ii) a 12 student who is enrolled in a course for the specific purpose of 13 providing mentorship, guidance, support, or assistance to 14 student peers.
