1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs) are
3 food and nutrition experts who can translate the science of
4 nutrition into practical solutions for healthy living; and
5 WHEREAS, RDNs have degrees in nutrition, dietetics, public
6 health, or a related field from well-respected, accredited
7 colleges and universities, have completed an internship, and
8 have passed an examination; and
9 WHEREAS, RDNs use their nutrition expertise to help
10 individuals make unique, positive lifestyle changes; and
11 WHEREAS, RDNs work throughout the community in hospitals,
12 schools, public health clinics, nursing homes, fitness
13 centers, universities, research, private practice, food
14 management, and the food industry; and
15 WHEREAS, RDNs are advocates for advancing the nutritional
16 status of Americans and people around the world; therefore, be
17 it
18 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
19 HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
20 we declare March 12, 2025 as Registered Dietitian Nutritionist

2 RESOLVED, That we encourage all citizens to recognize the
3 contributions of Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs),
4 and we express our appreciation for their commitment to
5 promoting science-based nutrition in the hope of achieving
6 optimum health for both today and tomorrow.
