1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to congratulate Michael Wenos on the
4 occasion of his retirement after 24 years of service with the
5 Madison Mutual Insurance Company in Edwardsville; and
6 WHEREAS, Michael Wenos has served as president and a board
7 member of Madison Mutual Insurance since April of 2008; he
8 joined the company in February of 2001 as claims director and
9 became vice president in February of 2005; and
10 WHEREAS, Michael Wenos worked with GMAC Insurance and
11 Shelter Insurance prior to joining Madison Mutual Insurance;
12 and
13 WHEREAS, Michael Wenos was a member and chairman of the
14 NAMIC Property Casualty Conference from September 2012 to
15 September 2018; he was a member and vice chairman for the
16 Gateway Convention Center from January 2007 to December 2013;
17 and
18 WHEREAS, Michael Wenos is a member of the Edwardsville
19 Rotary and the CPCU Society and a past member of the EGHM
20 Foundation; and

1 WHEREAS, Michael Wenos has a Bachelor of Science in
2 business and finance from Eastern Illinois University; and
3 WHEREAS, Michael Wenos enjoys spending time with his
4 family, particularly his grandchildren; he also enjoys biking,
5 golfing, hiking, practicing and playing his guitar, and
6 spending time with friends and family at the lake; and
7 WHEREAS, Michael Wenos has three children, Sean Michael
8 Wenos, Taylor Leigh Nicks, and Collin Joseph Wenos, and four
9 grandchildren, Aubrey Joyce Wenos, Adley Marie Wenos, Elsie
10 Marie Nicks, and Nolan Michael Nicks; therefore, be it
11 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
12 HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
13 we congratulate Michael Wenos on the occasion of his
14 retirement after 24 years of service with the Madison Mutual
15 Insurance Company; and be it further
16 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17 presented to Michael Wenos as a symbol of our respect and
18 esteem.
