1  SENATE RESOLUTION
2  WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3  to learn of the death of Carole Jean Kirwan of Ivesdale, who
4  passed away on January 7, 2025; and
5  WHEREAS, Carole Kirwan, the daughter of Clarence and
6  Beulah Webb Blacker, was born in Monticello on September 15,
7  1937; she married Hiram Thomas Kirwan in Monticello on
8  September 25, 1954; and
9  WHEREAS, Carole Kirwan was a member of St. Joseph Catholic
10  Church in Ivesdale, the Altar and Rosary Society, the Women's
11  Club, and the Farm Bureau; she also served as an election judge
12  for Champaign County; and
13  WHEREAS, Carole Kirwan cherished spending time with her
14  family and took great joy in being a devoted grandmother and
15  great-grandmother; and
16  WHEREAS, Carole Kirwan was preceded in death by her
17  parents; her son, Thomas E. Kirwan Jr.; her brother, Gerald
18  Blacker; and her sisters, Marilyn Morrow, Norma K. Davis, and
19  Connie Webber; and
20  WHEREAS, Carole Kirwan is survived by her husband of 70

4  RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
5  ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6  Carole Jean Kirwan and extend our sincere condolences to her
7  family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
8  further
