SR0057LRB104 10413 MST 20488 r SR0057 LRB104 10413 MST 20488 r SR0057 LRB104 10413 MST 20488 r 1 SENATE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 3 to learn of the death of Charles Robert "Chuck" Maskel of 4 Pekin, who passed away on December 8, 2024; and 5 WHEREAS, Chuck Maskel was born in Georgetown to Jess and 6 Effie (Good) Maskel on June 6, 1928; he served in the U.S. 7 Army; he married Leatha Mae Gray in Bloomington on May 21, 8 1949; and 9 WHEREAS, Chuck Maskel worked in the rod mill for Keystone 10 Wire & Steel in Bartonville, retiring in 1982; and 11 WHEREAS, Chuck Maskel enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, 12 and reading western novels written by William Johnstone; and 13 WHEREAS, Chuck Maskel was preceded in death by his wife, 14 Leatha; his parents; his granddaughter, Brandi Maskel; his 15 sisters, Dorothy, Juanita, and Midge; his brothers, Frank, 16 Clarence, and J.D.; and his sister-in-law, Mary Maskel; and 17 WHEREAS, Chuck Maskel is survived by his daughters, 18 Juliann (Tom) Slicko and Dawn Maskel; his grandchildren, 19 Brittany Maskel, Joshua (Hanna) Wagner, and Mallory Wagner; 20 his great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Maskel, Breanna Maskel, SR0057 LRB104 10413 MST 20488 r SR0057- 2 -LRB104 10413 MST 20488 r SR0057 - 2 - LRB104 10413 MST 20488 r SR0057 - 2 - LRB104 10413 MST 20488 r 1 Patience Toungett, Dayton Williams, Bentley Moore, Titan 2 Moore, Joshua Wagner, and Charlotte Wagner; his brother, Bill 3 Maskel; and numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be it 4 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL 5 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 6 Charles Robert "Chuck" Maskel and extend our sincere 7 condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved 8 him; and be it further SR0057 - 2 - LRB104 10413 MST 20488 r
