1  SENATE RESOLUTION
2  WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3  to learn of the death of Paul Keller Boll, who passed away on
4  January 15, 2025; and
5  WHEREAS, Paul Boll, the son of Walter J. Boll and Margaret
6  (Keller) Boll, was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 10, 1940;
7  he graduated from Farmersville High School and Springfield
8  Junior College; he married Diane Seelbach in 1961; and
9  WHEREAS, Paul Boll served as the first male lay teacher at
10  Little Flower School before he began selling pharmaceuticals
11  throughout central Illinois; he then opened Paul Boll Painting
12  and Decorating in 1978, where he worked with his wife until he
13  retired in 2014; his business was credited for several works,
14  including the Governor's Mansion, the Old State Capitol Dome,
15  Memorial Medical Center, the Main Gate at the Illinois State
16  Fair, and Cooper's Hawk; and
17  WHEREAS, Paul Boll was a member of the Church of the Little
18  Flower for over 60 years, and he was active in the Little
19  Flower Men's Club; and
20  WHEREAS, Paul Boll was an avid Detroit Tigers and Notre
21  Dame Fighting Irish fan; he enjoyed reading, history,

1  traveling, going for drives, dining out, playing and coaching
2  sports, attending his children's, grandchildren's, and
3  great-grandchildren's events, and spending time with his
4  friends and family; and
5  WHEREAS, Paul Boll was preceded in death by his wife of 62
6  years, Diane Boll; his parents; and his stepmother, Mary Boll;
7  and
8  WHEREAS, Paul Boll is survived by his children, Todd
9  (Stacey) Boll, Kelle (Dave) Sandercock, Kendra Boll, and Kara
10  (Damon) Cozadd; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren;
11  his brother, Lawrence J. (Roberta) Boll; and several cousins,
12  nieces, friends, and other loved ones; therefore, be it
13  RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
14  ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
15  Paul Keller Boll and extend our sincere condolences to his
16  family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
17  further
