Wenger of Smithton, who 4 passed away on December 30, 2024; and 5 WHEREAS, Larry Wenger, the son of Francis Louis and Clela 6 Pauline (Godwin) Wenger, was born in Jonesboro on January 24, 7 1941; he served in the U.S. Navy; he married Cindy (Ring) 8 Steelman at Beech Grove on December 26, 1998; and 9 WHEREAS, Larry Wenger worked as an inspector for the U.S. 10 Department of Agriculture until his retirement; and 11 WHEREAS, Larry Wenger cherished spending time with his 12 wife and his horses, including camping, traveling, or trail 13 riding; his love for the outdoors and equestrian pursuits were 14 an integral part of his life; and 15 WHEREAS, Larry Wenger was known as a kind, gentle man who 16 always had a smile on his face; and 17 WHEREAS, Larry Wenger was preceded in death by his 18 parents; his infant sister, Phyllis Wenger; and his 19 brother-in-law, Jim Brown; and SR0086 LRB104 11893 ECR 21984 r SR0086- 2 -LRB104 11893 ECR 21984 r SR0086 - 2 - LRB104 11893 ECR 21984 r SR0086 - 2 - LRB104 11893 ECR 21984 r 1 WHEREAS, Larry Wenger is survived by his wife, Cindy 2 Wenger; his sons, Larry Dean (Cheri) Wenger, Gregory (Heather) 3 Wenger, and Jeffery (Jessica) Wenger; his stepchildren, 4 Albert, Mike, Jerry, Perry, Dana, Daman, and Rachel; four 5 grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren; six 6 step-great-grandchildren; his sisters, Irma Kelly-Brown, Joyce 7 Boyer, and Debbie (Steve) Halderman; and his brother, Terry 8 (Debbie) Wenger; therefore, be it 9 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL 10 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 11 Larry L.
