Summary of Legislation: This bill adds coroners, deputy coroners, and medicolegal death investigators to
the list of designated Indiana first responders.
Effective Date:  July 1, 2022.
Explanation of State Expenditures: 
Explanation of State Revenues: 
Explanation of Local Expenditures: This bill could increase costs for counties as corners, deputy corners,
and medicolegal death investigators are county level employees. Additionally, a majority of  first responder
regulations are managed at the county level. The costs will depend on requirements for first responder
training, whether counties pay for training, and certification or licensure requirements.
