HOUSE BILL No. 1125 A BILL FOR AN ACT concerning human services. Whereas, the General Assembly supports and encourages the continued funding of the scholarship program established by the office of the secretary of family and social services to provide assistance to families for before school and after school care or early childhood education known as the Build, Learn, Grow Scholarship Program. Therefore, Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana: 1 SECTION 1. [EFFECTIVE UPON PASSAGE] (a) As used in this 2 SECTION, "office of the secretary" refers to the office of the 3 secretary of family and social services established by IC 12-8-1.5-1, 4 its offices, or divisions. 5 (b) The state board of finance may transfer money among funds 6 or otherwise transfer, assign, or reassign any appropriation, 7 appropriations, or a part of an appropriation or appropriations to 8 the office of the secretary for the scholarship program established 9 by the office of the secretary to provide assistance to families for 10 before school and after school care or early childhood education 11 known as the Build, Learn, Grow Scholarship Program to enable 2022 IN 1125—LS 6427/DI 125 2 1 the office of the secretary to continue to provide assistance to 2 families. 3 (c) This SECTION expires July 1, 2024. 4 SECTION 2.
