Summary of Legislation: The bill provides that a candidate for a school board office may not be an
employee or agent of that school corporation.
Effective Date: January 1, 2025.
Explanation of State Expenditures: The Election Division may need to update candidate publications and
forms to incorporate the bill’s proposed changes These changes should be able to be accomplished as a
routine matter of business.
