RESOLUTION No. ____
1 A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION congratulating Erin
2 Atwood.
3 Whereas, Erin Atwood retired on January 1, 2024, from her
4 position as Clerk Treasurer of Orestes, Indiana;
5 Whereas, Erin served in her position for 28 years;
6 Whereas, Erin oversaw local projects aimed at improving
7 Orestes, such as the construction of a sewer system, the
8 addition of local parks for citizens, and many improvements to
9 sidewalks and streets throughout the town;
10 Whereas, In addition to her public service, she is also
11 involved in her community as a charter member of both the
12 Orestes Historical Society and the Orestes Community Pride
13 Committee, a deaconess in the Christian Church & Women's
14 Group, and a member of the Indiana League of Municipal
15 Clerks and Treasurers, and she was once an Assistant Cub
16 Scout Leader; and
17 Whereas, Erin Atwood is a dedicated public servant who
18 spent nearly three decades improving the lives of her Orestes
19 community: Therefore,
20 Be it resolved by the House of Representatives
21 of the General Assembly of the State of Indiana,
22 the Senate concurring:
23 SECTION 1. That the Indiana General Assembly
24 congratulates Erin Atwood upon her retirement from Clerk

1 Treasurer of Orestes, Indiana after 28 years.
2 SECTION 2. That the Principal Clerk of the House of
3 Representatives shall transmit copies of this resolution to State
4 Representative Elizabeth Rowray for distribution.
