SENATE RESOLUTION ____
MADAM PRESIDENT:
I offer the following resolution and move its adoption:
1 A SENATE RESOLUTION to celebrate the 40th
2 Anniversary of the Indiana Bond Bank.
3 Whereas, Indiana's local governmental entities are the
4 units of government closest to the people and the most
5 intertwined in the daily lives of Hoosiers;
6 Whereas, Indiana's local governmental entities provide a
7 wide range of services to Indiana residents, including utility
8 service, infrastructure, parks and recreation, public safety, fire
9 protection, clean drinking water, and economic development,
10 among many other services;
11 Whereas, In recognition of the importance of our local
12 governmental entities and the role they play in the daily lives of
13 Hoosiers, the Indiana General Assembly established the
14 Indiana Bond Bank as a self-sufficient quasi-governmental
15 agency whose primary mission is to support the Indiana local
16 governmental entities and their funding and budgetary needs;

18 Whereas, Since 1984, the Indiana Bond Bank has served

1 these local Indiana governmental entities, including Indiana
2 cities, towns, townships, public school corporations, counties,
3 public libraries, county hospitals, public universities, and other
4 local units, by providing targeted and competitive financial
5 solutions to these local governmental entities; and
6 Whereas, On the 40th anniversary of the establishment of
7 the Indiana Bond Bank, the State of Indiana recognizes the
8 important work of the Indiana Bond Bank and the many funding
9 programs it offers to local governmental entities throughout
10 Indiana who, in turn, serve the needs of Hoosiers, help our
11 local communities thrive, and move our State forward:
12 Therefore,
13 Be it resolved by the Senate of the
14 General Assembly of the State of Indiana:
15 SECTION 1. That the Indiana Senate celebrates the 40th
16 Anniversary of the Indiana Bond Bank.
17 SECTION 2. That the Secretary of the Senate is hereby
18 directed to transmit one copy of this Resolution to the Indiana
19 Bond Bank.
