SENATE RESOLUTION ____
MADAM PRESIDENT:
I offer the following resolution and move its adoption:
1 A SENATE RESOLUTION to honor Washington
2 Township Schools Teacher of the Year Cirsti Fishback.
3 Whereas, Cirsti Fishback is from Sigourney, Iowa, and
4 moved to Houston, Texas, in 2007 where she began her
5 teaching career;
6 Whereas, Cirsti Fishback moved to Indianapolis in 2016
7 and has since been teaching for the Metropolitan School
8 District of Washington Township;
9 Whereas, Along with being a talented baker, a mother, and
10 a wife, Cirsti Fishback has been described by her students as a
11 "life-changing" teacher and "empathetic to all students"; and
12 Whereas, As a result of her exemplary teaching efforts,
13 Cirsti Fishback was named the 2023 Teacher of the Year for
14 Washington Township Schools: Therefore,
15 Be it resolved by the Senate of the
16 General Assembly of the State of Indiana:

1 SECTION 1. That the Indiana Senate recognizes the efforts
2 of Cirsti Fishback and her dedication to educating Indiana
3 youth.
4 SECTION 2. That the Secretary of the Senate is hereby
5 directed to transmit a copy of this resolution to Cirsti Fishback.
