Synopsis:  Child Care and Development Fund. Provides that a
household that includes a foster parent at the time of the office of
secretary of family and social services' initial determination is eligible
for assistance under the Child Care and Development Fund program.
Effective:  July 1, 2025.

HOUSE BILL No. 1248
A BILL FOR AN ACT to amend the Indiana Code concerning
human services.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana:
1 SECTION 1. IC 12-14-31-4 IS ADDED TO THE INDIANA CODE
2 AS A NEW SECTION TO READ AS FOLLOWS [EFFECTIVE JULY
3 1, 2025]: Sec. 4. A household that, at the time of the office of the
4 secretary's initial determination of the household's income
5 eligibility for purposes of entry into the CCDF program, includes
6 a foster parent is eligible for assistance under the CCDF program.
