HOUSE BILL No. 1248 A BILL FOR AN ACT to amend the Indiana Code concerning human services. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana: 1 SECTION 1. IC 12-14-31-4 IS ADDED TO THE INDIANA CODE 2 AS A NEW SECTION TO READ AS FOLLOWS [EFFECTIVE JULY 3 1, 2025]: Sec. 4. A household that, at the time of the office of the 4 secretary's initial determination of the household's income 5 eligibility for purposes of entry into the CCDF program, includes 6 a foster parent (as defined in IC 31-9-2-47) is eligible for assistance 7 under the CCDF program for children in foster care (as defined in 8 IC 31-9-2-46.7). 9 SECTION 2. IC 12-14-31-5 IS ADDED TO THE INDIANA CODE 10 AS A NEW SECTION TO READ AS FOLLOWS [EFFECTIVE JULY 11 1, 2025]: Sec. 5. The office of the secretary shall hold two hundred 12 (200) CCDF vouchers in reserve to be used for foster youth (as 13 defined in IC 31-9-2-47.3). However, if any child care vouchers 14 held in reserve under this section remain unused after a period of 15 ninety (90) days, the office of the secretary may allocate those child 16 care vouchers to other applicants.
