HOUSE BILL No. 1349 A BILL FOR AN ACT to amend the Indiana Code concerning state and local administration. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana: 1 SECTION 1. IC 5-20-1-18, AS AMENDED BY P.L.189-2018, 2 SECTION 41, IS AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS [EFFECTIVE 3 JULY 1, 2025]: Sec. 18. (a) The authority shall, promptly following the 4 close of each fiscal year, submit an annual report of its activities for the 5 preceding year to the public finance director appointed under 6 IC 5-1.2-3-6, the budget committee, and the general assembly. An 7 annual report submitted under this section to the general assembly must 8 be in an electronic format under IC 5-14-6. The report shall set forth a 9 complete operating and financial statement of the authority during such 10 year, and a copy of such report shall be available to inspection by the 11 public at the Indianapolis office of the authority. The authority shall 12 cause an audit of its books and accounts to be made at least once in 13 each year by an independent certified public accountant and the cost 14 thereof may be paid from any available money of the authority. 15 (b) The report submitted under subsection (a) must contain the 16 following information about the operations of the authority's 17 programs to promote housing stability for the state fiscal year 2025 IN 1349—LS 7385/DI 92 2 1 ending June 30, 2025, and for each state fiscal year thereafter: 2 (1) The number of applicants that sought to participate in 3 each program. 4 (2) The average wait time for receiving services under each 5 program. 6 (3) The average amount of monetary benefits provided to the 7 participants in each program. 8 (4) Identified barriers to providing expedited services under 9 each program. 10 (5) The amount of additional appropriations necessary to fully 11 meet the demand for services under each program. 2025 IN 1349—LS 7385/DI 92
