Effective Date: July 1, 2025. Explanation of State Expenditures: This bill requires law enforcement officers to notify Unites States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) of certain information in the course of their duties. This is likely to require adoption or modification of internal standard operating procedures and establishing a line of communication with ICE if one does not exist already. The bill’s requirements constitute a workload increase, but any increase should be met within existing agency resources.
