Summary of Legislation: The bill establishes the Indiana-Ireland trade commission (IIT Commission) to
advance bilateral trade and investment between Indiana and Ireland and other related matters. It specifies the
membership of the IIT Commission and certain requirements for the operations of the IIT Commission. It
requires the IIT Commission to provide an annual report of its activities. The bill provides for the expiration
of the IIT Commission. 
Effective Date:  Upon passage.
Explanation of State Expenditures: Commission Members– The IIT Commission's  members would not
be compensated for their service. 
Commission Staff– The bill requires the Governor to designate staff for the IIT Commission, which would
increase the Governor’s staff workload. 
Gateway-- The Department of Local Government Finance (DLGF) would likely be able to update the state
Gateway portal of the IIT Commission's expenditures and intakes as a routine order of business.
Expiration– The IIT Commission is set to expire June 30, 2029.
