Synopsis: Adult-sized changing tables. Requires the Indiana
department of transportation to, not later than June 30, 2027, install and
provide access to an adult-sized changing table in each safety rest area.

SENATE BILL No. 30
A BILL FOR AN ACT to amend the Indiana Code concerning
transportation.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana:
1 SECTION 1. IC 8-23-5-8.5 IS ADDED TO THE INDIANA CODE
2 AS A NEW SECTION TO READ AS FOLLOWS [EFFECTIVE JULY
3 1, 2025]: Sec. 8.5. (a) Not later than June 30, 2027, the department
4 shall install and provide access to a powered, height-adjustable,
5 adult-sized changing table in each safety rest area.
6 (b) The changing table required in subsection (a) must be
7 installed in a single occupancy restroom that is universal to gender
8 and available to the public.
